Thinking Green

With all of the tv shows talking about going green, Mo was inspired. He figured we would not get too much use out of some of the baby gear based on how quickly Miss Eleni is growing. This is what he came up with.

And for the record, he enjoys the buzzy feature as well.

Baby Moderne, block 9 complete!!

Baby Moderne, block 9 done!
No no no... look past the baby. I know it is hard. She is pretty darn cute. Block 9 is done!! I completed the 54th ridge last night and bound off before our bed time. Time to pick up stitches for block 10 which is only 18 ridges (and I thought it was 36, what a happy surprise!) This blanket will be done before I go back to work for sure!

One Month, 3 lbs, 2 inches

We just got back from eleni's one month checkup. She really is growing out of her clothes, and it isn't my imagination! Since her first peditricians visit she has gained 3 lbs and grown two inches! Her weight is 10lbs 10oz and she is 22.25 inches long! Both are in the 90th percentile. She will be bigger than Bella in no time!

Here she is having some tummy time with help from big brother Mo. A moment before I took the picture she was lifting her head!!

2007, a look back

This has been one of the most remarkable 12 months I have experienced so far in my 28 years (28? when did that happen?) We started out the year on a wonderful Mexico vacation. After returning home K started a new job which he enjoyed so much more than his previous work. At home we redecorated and I got my craft room, a new bedroom, a new bathroom and a nursery! We traveled to Newport RI for the first time and had a relaxing weekend at camp.
I met the Yarn Harlot while she was in town for her book tour. Do I look pregnant in that photo? I was maybe 5 weeks along by then! I remember telling Amy because I was just too excited to keep it a secret. We also don't need to talk about the sweater in my lap. It is Thermal from knitty.com and still unfinished! However I did manage to finish the other project... Eleni!

Thanks for joining me on this walk down memory lane. A blog certainly does make reflecting on the year gone by quite easy!
